A batch of items today:
Artist / farmer / pie maker / senior animal caretaker Katherine Dunn over at the delightful Apifera Farm blog has this to show and say about anger and art.
Communicatrix interviews Seth Godin on making art.
(P.S. How do you know if you've been lulled to sleep? Do you drink Diet Coke? I am not kidding.)
Derek Sivers interviews Seth Godin, ditto (the music angle).
Et moi? No, I didn't interview Seth Godin. But Bethanne Patrick interviewed me for Book Studio about the Washington DC story behind the story of my novel, The Last Prince of the Mexican Empire. If I do say so myself, it's a pretty good interview, though either I have the camera lights directly in my eyes or I need to work on keeping my eyes open while I speak (probably both).
More anon.

I like Ms. Dunn's hyphens better than mine. Maybe that's what I need: more pie-making and senior animal caretaking.
Also, the thing about falling asleep is you don't know until you wake up. It's a bitch. So is Diet Coke, but that's another story.
What a terrific interview, Madam M. The cat even came over to watch (snowing in DC & typing this from lounge position.) Sartorially speaking, your violet shawl along with the asymmetrical black neckline, lovely. I think the lights were probably in your eyes; it can be startling.
I've been rereading Camus on the Algerian mess (no need to be fancy here, I presume. Not up to it.). The idea of being a colon vs. citoyen so I appreciate your POV in that regard. In talking (casually to be sure) with many friends & acquaintances, they rarely "get" the difference. Shockingly (to me).
Also thanks for the link to art & anger. Going to reread as nothing is sticking today, except the snow.
Cheers.
Susan
