Mexican Writer Elena Poniatowska Coming to DC
Elena Poniatowska, one of Mexico's most prolific and beloved literary writers will be at Washington DC's Mexican Cultural Institute May 20th at 5 pm. To get the details, click here. The author of more than 50 books, including Dear Diego, Massacre in Mexico, Here's to You Jesusa, The Skin of the Sky, which won the Alfaguara Prize in 2001, and Tinísima, Poniatowska has received a Guggenheim Fellowship and an Emeritus Fellowship from Mexico’s National Council of Culture and Arts.
